Bar/Bat Mitzvahs -
Dear Cantor Belenky,
We wanted to thank you for making Adam and Megan’s B’nai Mitzvah experience such a positive one. We questioned all along if how we were proceeding made sense, given Adam’s difficulty presenting. Although it was rocky at times (and until the very end), the love, support and your hard work we all felt from you kept us all moving forward. It was a special time that we will all treasure!
Thank you for believing in Adam and creating a memorable and lasting connection with his Jewish faith and the Temple Community!
Fondly,
Jan and Robby Soble
Dear Cantor Belenky,
Thank you so much for working with Allyson as she prepared for her Bat Mitzvah. She learned well—the ceremony was fantastic—several people thanked us for having the pleasure of listening to you sing. One close friend shared with me that she and her husband both had tears in their eyes as they listened to you. Our friend, Margarita, said she would travel anywhere to be able to listen to you.
Again, thank you very much for working with Allyson and for her special day.

Weddings -
Dear Marina,
Thank you so much for conducting a gorgeous ceremony. The words you spoke echoed perfectly what was in our hearts. We have heard from many people that it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever seen.
Warmest regards,
Josh and Angela
Dear Marina,
We can’t thank you enough for your beautiful singing at Jamie and Brandon’s wedding. It was very special and added so much to their ceremony. Thanks again for taking so much time to make the day so special.
Love,
Dan and Linda Blesoe
From Jenya and Diana Polonsky-
Marina Belenky conducted our wedding back in September, and did a great job. Marina met with us six months before and to get to know us a little, and from our conversations with her wrote up a personalized speech about my wife and me, how we met, how we fell in love, etc. Her handling of the religious aspect of our ceremony was perfect. We’d told her that we wanted a traditional Jewish ceremony, and Marina more than delivered, chanting prayers in Hebrew, and singing traditional Hebrew hymns with her wonderful voice. Overall I would heartily recommend her services to anyone. Thank you, Marina!
Thanks,
Jenya and Diana Polonsky

Memorial Services -
Dearest Marina,
Thank you so much for your willingness to be a part of my mother’s memorial service. It meant so much to me and all of my family that you were there—you have the voice of an angel—and hearing you was a great comfort.
With love,
Jackie Kotkins

“[The] excellent performance in Benaroya Hall of Bernstein’s Symphony No. 3, the ‘Kaddish,’ was made all the stronger by Marina Belenky, in her rich mezzo-soprano voice with the Seattle Symphony.”
— Philippa Kiraly, Seattle Post-Intelligencer
“Marina Belenky, whom I’ve heard many times has an exquisite voice and is a very communicative singer who always amazes me with her fine musicianship. Her singing is on such a high level that when we were performing the Kaddish Symphony of Leonard Bernstein with the Seattle Symphony, I asked her to be our soloist and she performed magnificently.”
— Maestro Gerard Schwarz
“Marina performs all the typical tasks one would expect of an accomplished and experienced Cantor. Her beautiful voice and warm personality are engaging and sincere as she motivates the congregation to join her in song. Her timing, vocal qualities and service leadership style is quite accomplished. Most of all, Marina is a delight to know.”
